This was a good book for the free price. I have several books on fungi/mushrooms and can never get enough on the subject.
The only thing wrong is the lack of pictures which the author references in the book and would really be useful in looking for these plants. Will wait for the "up dated" copy with picturews and use the feild books I already have.

Well the format and information is excellent, but I can't see the photos as they have said it have 250 ilustrations. I really want to see the illustrations!

Excellent Foundation Literature on this subject. Well written and stands as seminal treatise.
For referance work kindle is difficult to use. It is not portable, and pertinant sections can not be cut and pasted into a usable form for easy access. Next time will get a hard copy so that I can fully utilize the information at will, rather than be chained to computer for access.
Not for the faint of heart, this book is a detailed introduction to the extensive world of the "fungal kingdom". Especially good for those interested in more historical fungal science.
